Love the irons. A small learning curve switching from blades to hybrids. For lower swing speed more distance. At this time I am trying to get used to using my new hybrid irons from Wazaki. I am consistently getting 10-20 yards more distance with ALL the clubs. They are slightly heavier and very solid when I contact the ball. I do need to get used to hitting them and getting the direction more accurate. Most of the time they are on line with my aim. I am glad I purchased them.I really enjoy these clubs. They really look great. Its nice that they come with headcovers. I got brown leather headcovers. Not the sticky vinyl ones. They are nice but fall off pretty easily so be careful. You definitely need a larger type cart bag to fit them all. I quit golf many years ago because I couldn't hit an iron. I'd literally shank it every time. With Covid-19 I decided to get back into golf again. I've always wanted to try "wood" irons because I never had a problem hitting fairway woods. I'm really glad I did. I love these clubs. They are just so easy to hit and hit straight. I haven't had any problems with paint chipping off like others have said. But I always use the headcovers. I will say, I used the sand wedge in the bunker and it did take all the paint off and scratch the bottom up. I kind of expected it would. I recently played with someone who also hadn't played in years because like me they couldn't hit irons. Halfway through the round I told them to give these clubs a try. They loved them and played the rest of the round with them. They hit them great too. Nice and straight. They went and bought them the next day! So distance wise. I hit the SW 100-110yds. PW 120-130yds. 4H about 175yds. Just going off the ones I've used the most so far. I really wish I could get a WaZaki 3 wood and 5 wood!Just got these last week after reviewing many hybrid iron sets. They came well packaged in a double box and individually wrapped. First thing you notice is the quality and workmanship as these clubs are really well made. The 2nd thing is that they are a bit longer maybe 3/4" than my Taylormade speed blades. They are also much lighter with the 55g shaft. I've used them once and hit a bucket of balls and they are about as long as the Taylormade speed blades but they consistently launch the ball much higher and are very easy to hit even in the rough. My swing speed has been slowing down (hate getting oId) and I was losing height and distance on the mid and long irons thus the reason for the purchase. I'll play a round in the next few days and update these preliminary findings, but so far so good.Okay so I payed a round yesterday and hit a few amazing shots with the 4i, 5i and PW. They are about 1 club or so longer than my old Taylormade Speed Blades but I do notice that on a few shots, the ball immediately flared to the right (a push) which I rarely do as I normally fight a hook. Not sure if I'm playing them too far forward or nor which might explain it. I seem to recall somewhere that the mfg requested feedback on experiences with these clubs and offered some analysis if requested. does anyone have a web address for Wazaki?I really like them they were a great purchaseI had to change my golf game because of a debilitating illness. I can no longer swing a golf club in the normal fashion like I used to - most notably my irons. I purchased these hybrids to make it easier for me to hit the ball with my now limited swing and swing power, and I can say these are awesome clubs!!To start with, I gauged my club distances based off of my irons - basically just using the hybrid equivelant of the iron I would have used in the past (example - 8 hybrid in place of my 8 iron). Then, I adjusted from there. What I found was that I could hit these hybrids well - something I was no longer able to do with my irons. I was also getting WAY more yardage out of these hybrids than I did my irons - even with my now limited swing and swing power. My normal 8 iron shot is now my 9 hybrid shot (pretty much the same all the way through each of the hybrid sizes). It feels very good to be able to hit the ball so cleanly, and straight again - something I am no longer able to do with my old iron set. These clubs have helped me enjoy golfing once again, and I am very impressed by their quality, price, and looks! I get compliments on the clubs every time I play now! Finally received the clubs and was able to use them on the course today for 18 holes. All I can say better then advertised and the clubs matched the reviews. The appearance of the clubs are stellar. Without any practice on the range using the clubs for the first time on the course was able to launch the ball with greater loft, increased distance on each of the clubs used today and the most important thing had way more control of the shots. Even on the ones that I missed hit the Hybrids were much more forgiving than any of my irons. Was a bit hesitant using the SW Hybrid out of the bunker but it worked like a champ, didn't hole it but kept it on the green. I would recommend these clubs for anybody but for golfers like myself that has lost some swing speed I will tell you it will improve your game!!!! Five thumbs Up!Wanted to switch to hybrid irons. Decided on WL-IIs after reading various reviews. These play slightly stiffer than R-flex but I like that. I swing pretty hard and get squirrelly sometimes. I can slow it down a bit with these and still get distance. Smooth easy swing with 7 for 165yds so I can focus more on accuracy. And they are accurate. The 55 gram R-flex shaft with 4.5 torque seems to be good for me. I bought a wood shaft for a 5 wood with those specs and it worked on that. You will not get the type of feedback you get with an iron but that's OK with me. It goes straighter for me than with irons. Great for bump and run, just be real easy. You don't have to hit it hard with these. Better for smooth swingers. Fast swingers will need a stiffer shaft. Give these a shot, they are holding up well.At 72 and having lost a lot of distance over the past three years or so, these clubs looked ideal for getting some of it back. I have found the mid irons to be good, but have not increased my distance by much if anything. The long irons have not had much use at all due to having a rescue hybrid wood in my bag, so the jury is still out on them. The biggest problem with these clubs is undoubtedly the sand wedge, it is impossible to hit the traditional sand shot with these. I used to be a 9.7 handicapper, so know what is required to play out of sand. The sand iron by its very shape makes it impossible to open the club face and then hit the sand about an inch or so behind the ball to get the ball out of a bunker. Forget it if you are close to the face of the bunker this club will simply not let you get out. The other problem I have discovered is chipping with these clubs. When it comes to those 20 to 30 yard and in distances, chipping with these is like trying to chip with a five wood, there is simply no feel and you just don't know how hard to hit the chip as a lot of the time the ball runs way past the hole if you use a similar stroke to how you used to chip with a regular iron. Practise will probably improve your chipping, but for bunker play take a dedicated sand iron with you. The clubs themselves look good and will probably do the job for either new or high handicap golfers, but for me the jury is very much still out. One good thing, I used to suffer from the shanks a lot, with these clubs that doesn't happen any more. So these are very much a swings and roundabouts set of clubs, some good points but also some bad points. For the price they are not bad, but if you are an experienced golfer, don't expect miracles as they won't happen. There is a 45 day money back or exchange for a different set, by that they mean a different shaft in the clubs, they come with a graphite pro 65 shaft in them, but can be changed for a lightweight graphite shaft if your not happy. The price is good for these clubs as they do look and feel good quality, and are well worth a look for the new and high handicap golfer, only thing I would change about them is drop the Sand Wedge and make them 4 or 5 iron to Pitching wedge.Update - Sadly I have decided that these clubs have far to many negatives for me to keep them. I have outlined the negatives above, and having now used the long irons more extensively, which made no difference to when I used my regular non-hybrid clubs long irons. So they are due to be picked up for returning today. One thing I did find was, it was impossible to contact Wazaki direct and their online chat told me to deal with Amazon direct. I was thinking about giving the clubs another go but with the lightweight shafts in them, but dealing with Amazon I was told it will be a refund. Initially Amazon told me I could not return them as I had passed the 30 day returns period. I had to point out to them that in the Wazaki clubs description it says 46 days. Anyway after a lot of tooing and froing I agreed to the refund from Amazon as that was the only option. So how you exchange these clubs for different shafted ones I have no idea.Clubs are a good length for shorter players. They hit longer than my old irons so over hitting some greens at the moment. Probably need to come down a club to hit proper distance. Clubs look great but can get marked if playing out of coarse sand or ground. I have found the pitching and sand wedge clubs to be more difficult to use. Will probably buy a wedge as difficult to use in sand with any accuracy. Overall I Zak hitting straighter and longer with these clubs so they work for me. Just need to buy a wedge for the sand as the club head design doesn’t work for me in sand. Good value compared to other makes.I am growing to really like these clubs. They feel and perform differently from conventional golf clubs but, as a relative beginner, they have improved my game quite markedly. Their "sweet spot" is much larger and, because of the design, it is not possible to shank the ball. The result is a more consistent performance. The clubs themselves seem to be well made and are attractively finished. The sand wedge is starting to show wear on the paint – too many bunkers visited – but otherwise they are an attractive set of clubs.A couple of other minor observations, each club has its own padded cover and this makes the golf bag a bit crowded. Irritatingly the numbers on the covers are upside down and, as others have mentioned, the numbers on the clubs themselves are very small– too small to read easily. This aside, I would certainly recommend these clubs.I bought these because I was shanking the ball and a number of reviews mentioned that these clubs had helped.I must admit that I am no longer shanking the ball but there are some negatives. The feel of the club is not satisfying as a conventional club and quite often the club jars through your hands even when you make a good connection. My results are gradually improving for the 7,8, 9, and wedge but I find my old hybrids are easier to hit than the 4,5, & 6 but I am going to bear with them. The SW is easy to hit on the fairway but I am really struggling to use it out of the bunkers as it doesn't cut through the sand like a normal club. I presume there is a technique for bunker shots but I wish the manufacturers wouldn't keep it a secret. As a number of reviewers have stated the club covers are too big and it is hard to fit the clubs with them on, in the bag. If you don't use the covers I am sure the clubs will soon get damaged. The other issue I have is that unless you keep the covers on it is almost impossible tell one club from the other. The number marking on the bottom of the club is so small it is almost impossible to read. I have written the number of each club on the top of the grip and on the base but this really is a design fault. Not sure I can recommend them yet as my scores haven't improved but I am hopeful after a few more rounds i will make some progressI'm 54 been playing golf for 20 years but about 4 years ago I developed the shanks. Been fighting it ever since lessons YouTube you name I tried but mostly lost. I have always been able to hit woods off the deck and my rescue then mess it up with an iron. So why not try the hybrid set. I got them on Friday went straight to the range and hit 90 balls no shanks!!!!! Played Saturday morning in the competition with the new clubs no shanks and 29 points. Not amazing but first time on the course and my last 2 comps were 19 and 18 points respectively. I'm going out again today can't wait cant say how amazing it is to hit golf shots again. Still got to work on my distances etc but that will come. They are blue not black and you do need a big bag but I don't care. Don't wait but them
