Description
SR300E Electric Bass Guitar Iron Pewter. For 25 years the SR has given bass players a modern alternative. Embraced by bassists over the decades, the iconic series continues to excite with its smooth, fast neck, lightweight body and perfectly matched electronics. The SR300E 4-string electric bass is priced like a beginner's instrument, but it has features that make it anything but a cut-rate starter axe. First off, it has a 5-piece SR4 maple/rosewood neck and light, mahogany body with smooth rounded edges and a deep, lower cutaway for better access to the upper frets. For electronics, the SR300E features Ibanez PowerSpan dual coil pickups. Equalization chores are handled by Ibanez Custom 3-band EQ with Power Tap switch. This allows the control to be more effective in creating useful, popular bass tones.

I use it for my Sunday servicesString buzz prevalent even though string distance from fretboard looked to be at factory specs. E string required frequent adjusting. Nice looking bass, just looks like Ibanez tried to be a jack of all trades in this budget bass guitar, but turns out to be master ofI bonded with this instrument instantly.I looks great, sounds great and played great right out of the box.I know my way around a bass, (for various reasons) but I'm by no means an expert because guitar is my main jam.All I can tell you is that when you pick up an instrument for the first time, you either feel a connection with it or you don't. I did... and I'm happier with this than the Mexican Strat I bought in store about a year back.I did my research and bought this guitar for my grandson. Friends I have who are pros love this bass. Great action and they tell me that the electronics are better than what they play professionally. My grandson told me he loves it and he said it's really "SICK"... And that I guess is a good thing these days!An active bass with light, thin, fast neck, myriad tones availability, all in a fine, well-made, entry level instrument. Great for open-mic nights where you don't want to"knock-about" with the Fodera or F Bass. This is a great bass - sounds awesome and feels very comfortable to play. This is a beautiful instrument it's honestly it's honestly nice enough to contend with contend with the nicer squiers and similar priced stuffAfter I set the action... like night and day difference. Now we're in business ?I bought this for my son's 37th birthday, he had picked it out from the online ads and had not seen it or played it in a store. THIS GUITAR IS BEAUTIFUL. The pearl/off white to not-quite-black is stunning. Pictures cannot do it justice. I cannot speak the technical aspects of playing it but my son was very pleased, he could not stop playing it once he plugged it in and tuned it. This is his sixth guitar and he says it has the best sound of all and it is very comfortable to play. I cannot say how it compares to his others but the depth of the sound is wonderful. I have bought him more expensive Schechters and Jacksons, and he said this one will likely be his favorite.a brilliant bass for the price!
