These grates are awesome! I had originally ordered for one room in the house that got a new floor, and was so impressed with the quality that I replaced the grates in the whole house. These are very sturdy/heavy, and won't get easily scratched.This vent cover exceeded our expectations!! Very heavy, solid cast iron!!! Equivalent to the same cast iron of a skillet and very dark. We bought this for a small guest bathroom knowing it would get stepped on regularly and we are more than thrilled with what we were sent. Fit perfectly also!!! If ever it gets scuffed, I think it will be easy to clean as it is solid and not painted from what I can tell.
