Separated my baby parakeets into this cage from the parents cage of the same design. They love all of the room they have. Placed it right next to the other one and still doesn’t take up a lot of space. The cage is good. I was researching other cages to buy for my sun conure, but I liked how everyone said this is a very smooth, finished cage, unlike others I read about.I give it four stars because it’s not a “large” cage. I would recommend only 1 conure, caique, Senegal, or other small species of parrots be homed in this cage. My other cage is much bigger and I can easily make my blue-crown conure and sun conure share a cage in it.I would not recommend this cage for an Amazon, African Grey, cockatoo, or a macaw. The bars are spaced to far apart for a parakeet as well. But everything else was good. My boyfriend assembled it for me and he had no problem figuring out how to assemble it, but he did mention that the instructions sucked and he had to “think” about it. It took an hour to assemble with poor assembly instructions. The dimensions they give you are misleading. It is NOT 25 inches wide. The cage itself is 18 inches wide. They are including the width of the seed catcher. The cage is very sturdy but I am so unhappy that the dimensions were wrong and misleading.I bought this cage because I had to downsize my existing cage due to a move. It has a good design, and there are some really decent improvements over what I had originally. It is easier to clean, & I like the jungle gym aspect to it's design, very suitable for my Amazon who spends the entire day at liberty & clearly likes the varying levels. It comes with very nice double feed/water dishes in stainless steel. This is not a suitable cage for a larger parrot UNLESS you plan to leave the cage door open & let him spend the day crawling around as he/she pleases [which I do.] My only critique is that I don't like the wooden perches which come with the cage, we substituted our own manzanita perches & cut them down to fit. I thought this cage was very god value for the money & it arrived the very next day after I ordered itThis was delivered on time and in good share. There were a couple bars bent but nothing bad that couldn't be fixed. Easy to put together. It only took about 30 minutes all in all. There is a lot of space and I really like the food bowls that it came with. All 5.Wasn't measuring to the 25in dimensions in the product description its smaller than described otherwise very easy to assemble it goes by the width of the skirtOverall, the bird cage is great. It holds up well and is easy to clean. The only issues I've had was:1. It arrived with a missing piece. Easily replaceable by contacting the company.2. The wheels are held on with plastic caps. For three wheels this was not an issue. For the forth wheel this presented as a problem. The wheels are installed by forcing them through a small hole in the plastic cap at the end of the metal leg. The forth wheel pushed the cap into the leg making it effectively useless. Fortunately, I had some additional plastic laying around and was able to construct a new cap.The issues were minor in nature. Once the bird cage was put together and being used it hasn't given me any more problems. However, the bird cage is very sturdy and nicely built....I couldn't figure out how to assemble it, my son had to help and even he said, the instructions could be a lot better. The cage is large and plenty of room for my Cockatiel...he seems to like the cage. I will say this, the customer service people were really helpful and delivered the cage to me with lots of patience and kindness...very impressed with customer service. I'll come back later and add to this review if need be but so far I'm impressed, and love the fact of the feeder compartments...so you don't have to go thru the cage.
