I bought this for preasure canning because my gas stove stayed to hot even on low and i couldn't keep my preasure low enough. This is so easy to adjust the temperature on and holds it steady. Had no problem getting it up to preasure and it's nice to be able to plug it in on my counter and not take up stove space. I use it now for my waterbath canning as well. I love this little burner.
