We replaced our older Dyson (the corded, yellow one) after 16 years. The yellow Dyson was outstanding and still running when we upgraded to this one. Household mix of carpets, rugs, and laminate with 2 adults and two medium length fur dogs (who are allowed on furniture).Pros- relatively light weight, 3 power settings to save battery when needed, super mobile and able to pair down for easy use on stairs, non-ugly charging station, easy to empty/ clean dustbin container, very effective upholstery (spouse is in love!)Cons- Small dustbin, battery makes vacuum top heavy so hand may tire.Overall- Well worth the money and would buy again.
